OVERVIEW
WoodRidge Behavioral Care–Forrest City is a 48-bed JCAHO accredited psychiatric residential treatment facility specifically designed for children and adolescents. We are focused on providing exceptional treatment and support to children, adolescents and their families through a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach.
TREATMENT PROGRAM
WoodRidge Behavioral Care–Forrest City was established in order to better serve the needs of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders. Our staff specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with disorders such as ADHD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and other Behavioral and Mood Disorders. A highly structured behavioral management program, with a level system, is implemented to assist residents in gauging their progress. It also assists residents in learning to accept responsibility for their own behaviors, both positive and negative.

ADMISSION CRITERIA
- Males
- Ages 6–17 upon admission
- IQ 70 or higher, under 70 considered on an individual basis
- DSM IV-TR Diagnosis
- Inability to be managed in a less restrictive setting
REFERRALS
Anyone can make a referral to WoodRidge Behavioral Care–Forrest City. Recommended contents of clinical referral packets: Psychiatric and Psychological Evaluations, Medical History and Physical, Social History, Individual Education Plan (if in Special Education), Previous Treatment History and Outpatient Progress Notes.
ASSESSMENTS
WoodRidge Behavioral Care–Forrest City offers a free assessment to anyone who may be in need of services at our facility. Assessments are reviewed by a licensed mental health professional. When a face to face assessment is not possible, a clinical referral packet will be reviewed to determine if residential placement is indicated.
ADMISSIONS
If residential treatment is indicated, the family or guardian will be contacted and admission will be scheduled. Our staff will work to accommodate work and family obligations when scheduling the admission. Upon admission the family will receive specific information regarding assigned therapist, psychiatrist and other key personnel.
